Jura Distillery Tour Review[photos]islands-Scotland
We visited Jura Distillery, north of Islay. Taking the poorly connected ferry and bus (lol), we made the most of beautiful Jura! Unfortunately, photos inside were completely off-limits, and we had to hand in our phones and cameras during the tour, so we only have photos of the exterior and the tasting. - Page 2
Ardnahoe Distillery Tour Review[photos]Islay-scotland
Ardnahoe Distillery is a new distillery on Islay, so the facilities were really lovely too. It had only just been built in 2018, and the whisky hasn't been bottled yet, but at the end of the distillery tour we could do a tasting. The impression was that the whisky is still young, but it's a distillery whose future whiskies I'm looking forward to.Here's a look at our visit. - Page 2
Springbank Distillery Tour Review[photos]Campbeltown-Scotland
Leaving Islay behind, we went from there by ferry and bus to the town of Campbeltown. In Campbeltown, we visited Springbank Distillery, Glengyle Distillery, and Glen Scotia Distillery. Campbeltown, which once had many distilleries, now has just three. First, here's a look at our visit to Springbank Distillery. - Page 2
Glengyle Distillery Tour Review[photos]Campbeltown-Scotland
The second place we visited in Campbeltown was Glengyle Distillery. This one is right next to the Springbank site.Even though they're in almost the same spot, we got to enjoy a whisky called Kilkerran with a completely different flavor. Here's a look at the distillery visit. - Page 2
Glen Scotia Distillery tour Review[photos]Campbeltown-Scotland
Our third stop in Campbeltown was Glen Scotia Distillery.Glen Scotia is also one of the precious three distilleries remaining in Campbeltown. Its whisky has won awards, and honestly I didn't know much about it before, but after going to the distillery it became a whisky I love. Here's a look at our visit. - Page 2

Lagg Distillery Tour Review[photos]islands-scotland
We visited Lagg Distillery, the second distillery on the Isle of Arran. We went without a booking, but happened to be able to join a tour. It was a distillery with really beautiful scenery. Here's a look at our visit. - Page 2
Aberfeldy Distillery Tour Review[photos]Highland-scotland
We stayed in a town called Perth in the Highland area of Scotland, and from there took a bus to Aberfeldy Distillery. It's known as Dewar's key malt, but I myself had never had Aberfeldy single malt, and since it's a whisky Nick loves, we joined a slightly pricier tour. Here's a look at our visit. - Page 2
Tullibardine Distillery Tour Review[photos]Highland-Scotland
The day after visiting Aberfeldy Distillery, we went to Tullibardine Distillery. This one, too, we could reach with a single bus from the town of Perth. It was a distillery standing grandly in a small town. The tasting was in a lovely space, like a lovely bar. Here's a look at our visit. - Page 2
The Glenturret Distillery Tour Review[photos]Highland-scotland
Following Aberfeldy and Tullibardine, we took the bus from the town of Perth to The Glenturret Distillery. Glenturret changed owners, and its bottle design changed to something very stylish. We joined a slightly pricier tour, so we savored some rather upscale whiskies at an impossibly lavish bar. Here's a look at how it went. - Page 2
