Scottish whisky is made all over Scotland, but do you know its six regions? We toured about 50 distilleries across the different regions in total, and it was really interesting to learn the features of each of the six regions and the whisky each aims for. Here's a list of Scottish whisky distilleries that offer tours. This isn't all of them, but for us who visited 50, just researching whether they were open to the public or not was quite a task, so please use this as a reference. Except for Talisker and Torabhaig, we went to everywhere by public transport or taxi, so I've noted recommended bases for going by train or bus.
