Here we introduce the Yoichi Distillery-exclusive whiskies we'd recommend as souvenirs. We've been about four times so far (most recently summer 2024), and here we focus mainly on the standard limited whiskies. Some may not be available, but please do check what to buy before you go.

We went to visit Yamaga Whisky Distillery in Kumamoto Prefecture, which opened in 2022. What impressed us most was that the clear new pot, before it becomes whisky, was sweet and delicious. Here's a look at our visit and what we bought as souvenirs.
Kanosuke Whisky Distillery Tour Review[photos]Kagoshima,Japan
We went to Kanosuke Distillery in western Kagoshima Prefecture. Over three days and two nights, we visited three distilleries(Yamaga/Tsunuki). The last one we went to was Kanosuke Distillery, and the tour and the tasting venue with a view of the sea were the best.

At the end of April 2023, we went to visit Gaiaflow Shizuoka Distillery. There was a bus from Shizuoka Station timed to the distillery tour, but ours was quite a whirlwind trip — a day trip from Osaka, driving about four and a half hours each way. Rokkosan Whisky Distillery Tour Reviews-kobe,Japan
At the end of April 2023, we visited Rokkosan Distillery in Hyogo,Japan. Japan's most compact distillery! Even though I live in Osaka, for some reason I'd finally never managed to go, so I was really happy to be able to go this time. If you go near Mt. Rokko, please do stop by.
Mars Shinshu Distillery Visit Reviews[photos]-Komagatake (Hombo Shuzo)
We went to visit Mars Shinshu Distillery, famous for Komagatake whisky. Even though it's not far from Kansai, we hadn't managed to go, but this time — on the way? to driving to Miyagikyo Distillery — we went to Mars Shinshu Distillery by car. We enjoyed the free tour, the bar, and buying souvenirs. Here's our visit.
Kirin Fuji Gotemba Distillery Tour Reviews[photos]-Shizuoka/Japan
We went to a factory visit at Fuji Gotemba Distillery.(in 2023) Every distillery has its own good points, and going makes you love it even more, but this Fuji Gotemba Distillery is large in scale, with rich tour content and videos — in a word, stunning.
