The final day of our roughly two-month, 50-distillery tour was Glen Grant Distillery.
It was January 8th, and we enjoyed a distillery right at the start of the new year.

Features of the Distillery
Founded in 1840 on the edge of the town of Rothes in Speyside, by the Grant brothers, John and James.
This town is home to the factory of the still manufacturer Forsyths.
Distilleries are usually named after a place, but Glen Grant is named after its founders, the Grant brothers.
The flavor is clean, fruity, and citrusy.
It’s the most famous single malt in Italy, and it also goes into Chivas Regal.
location / Access
It’s in the town of Rothes.
You can get there from Elgin by bus in about 10 minutes.

The Distillery’s Exterior
Heading a little way in from the street, the building nearest the front is the visitor center.
From there, further back past where the cars are parked, you’ll find the distillery’s landmark building.
The Tour We Joined
The bus never came, so we ended up rushing over by taxi.
We were already late, but since it happened to be just the two of us, they showed us around right away.
After hearing about the distillery’s history, we toured the inside.
For the final tasting, we had two kinds.
It was a refreshing whisky with great value for money.

Summary
The shop had been closed since after Christmas and had only just reopened, so there was nothing on the shelves yet!
We managed to visit at quite a rare time.
