We visited two distilleries.
The last one we went to was Kanosuke Distillery, and the tour and the tasting venue with a view of the sea were the best.

Access/Location
Kanosuke Distillery has poor access — even the distillery staff say so — and it seems you can basically only get there by car.
I became the driver and we went by rental car.
It seems to be quite a walk from the bus stop.
Kanosuke Distillery Exterior

It starts at 9:30, but we couldn’t wait and went early.
After arriving, we wandered around the area.

It said you can go to the beach! but there were lots of slopes down near the sea and we couldn’t really get there.

Still, we could relax.
One theme is apparently being a facility families can enjoy too, and there were places where kids could run around.

Kanosuke Distillery — The Tour Is by Advance Booking

The tour runs twice a day, morning and afternoon, requires booking, and is 1,000 yen per person.
The souvenir shop opens at 10, and you check in there.

We bought a few souvenirs before 10 and waited.
The tour started at 10:30.
Please experience the explanations in person!

Kanosuke Distillery — Tasting
The tasting is one of Kanosuke Distillery’s big attractions! They show you to it at the end of the tour.

Since Kanosuke Distillery is along the coast, you can taste while looking at that sea.

I was the driver, so I couldn’t drink, but the open atmosphere was the best. These are the three kinds we could taste.

Amazingly, you can take these home.
Since it was my last day, I took them home on the plane, but they made it home in good shape! Well thought out!!
We were saying how nice it would be if it became a bar someday, but with the poor transport access it apparently won’t become a bar at this point — still, it had a really lovely atmosphere.

Kanosuke Distillery — Souvenirs

There were all sorts of souvenirs. There were clothes, keychains, and more too.
What I Bought

▲ Limited-edition bottle (one per person, 3,960 yen), glass (1,630 yen)
Kanosuke Distillery — We Tried the Gacha

What I found fun this time was the acrylic-stand gacha!
There was a gacha for whisky acrylic stands.
It’s 500 yen per go, PayPay payment only.
Splendidly, I got Kanosuke-sama on my second try!
Summary
Kanosuke Distillery is still a new distillery.
And the poor transport access is apparently a drawback, but when you go on a trip to Kagoshima, you can tour the distillery, so please do stop by by car.
