Tullibardine Distillery Tour Review[photos]Highland-Scotland

The day after visiting Aberfeldy Distillery, we went to Tullibardine Distillery.

This one, too, we could reach with a single bus from the town of Perth.

It was a distillery standing grandly in a small town.

The tasting was in a lovely space, like a lovely bar.

Here’s a look at our visit.

Features of the Distillery

Founded in 1949, Tullibardine means “hill of the wasteland.”

Since 2011, a business center, a bottling facility, warehouses, and a cooperage have also been built alongside the distillery.

It also holds the brand rights to the blended Highland Queen, for which it’s a key malt.

It has four stills in total. Picard was originally a wine merchant, and the whisky lineup reflects that.

It was a single bus from the town of Perth.

It’s at the entrance to the town at the last stop.

We could see the cool Tullibardine lettering from the road.

Heading from the entrance toward the parking lot was the shop entrance.

The tour was a simple one with a walkthrough and a tasting.

The only photos are from the cask area at the end.

The post-tour tasting venue was really lovely.

We got to do a tasting of two kinds.

The shop isn’t that big, but it had the distillery’s history and so on.

At the back there’s a bar, where you can do a paid tasting.

The staff were very friendly and talked with us a lot, which was really nice too.

Honestly, I didn’t know Tullibardine, but it was a tour where we could discover a new flavor.
