We visited Torabhaig Distillery on the Isle of Skye.
We didn’t know about it, but when we mentioned at a distillery we’d just been to that we were going to Talisker, they told us we should go to Torabhaig too, so we went on short notice.
Time-wise, we couldn’t join a tour, so we enjoyed the cafe and shop.

Features of the Distillery
It’s the second distillery on the Isle of Skye, founded in 2017.
Mr. Noble, who founded an independent blender-bottler in 1976, planned to turn the Torabhaig farm into a distillery.
He passed away before it could be carried out, but the Dutch drinks group Mossburn Distillers rebuilt it. It has two stills.
The taste is lemon, toast, and black pepper.
Location / Access
We drove to Skye by rental car, about two hours from Inverness.
It’s before you reach Talisker Distillery.
It took about 30 minutes from there to Talisker Distillery.

Enjoying the Distillery’s Shop and Cafe
It was a really cute building.
As you go in, there was a shop on the left and a cafe on the right.
At the cafe, you could do a paid tasting.
The shop also had things like a collaboration whisky with Japan’s Akashi Distillery on display.
Summary
If we’d had time, we would have loved to take a proper tour.
But the cuteness of the building was soothing, and it was nice to relax at the cafe.
